Pool Interactive Cover is an innovative book cover design that reimagines the visual representation of algae through a sophisticated blend of Chinese characters and scientific illustration. Created by Jin-Zhi Liao in 2019, this interactive print design masterfully combines educational content with engaging visual elements in a 148mm x 210mm format. The design's primary innovation lies in its multisensory approach, featuring translucent varnish-coated algae doodles that create a realistic watery reflection effect, extending across the entire cover to simulate a pond ecosystem. The cover employs a vibrant color palette dominated by neon yellow and greenish tones, enhanced through spot varnish technology to emphasize texture and create a vivid, lifelike appearance.
