Polkota Feline Furniture Module is an innovative feline furniture design that represents a significant advancement in pet furniture, combining aesthetic minimalism with functional versatility for domestic cats. This wall-mounted modular system, designed by Nadezhda Kiseleva with technical contribution from Ivan Logutov, emerged from comprehensive research into feline behavior and pet owner needs, addressing common challenges in contemporary pet furniture design. The module's distinctive form, inspired by the shape of a cat curled in a ball of wool, features a sophisticated construction utilizing environmentally conscious materials including laminated OSB board or MDF base (20mm thickness), flexible Ceiba plywood layers (8mm thickness), and customizable front panels. Measuring 500mm x 250mm x 500mm, the design incorporates a specialized wall-mounting system with a 150mm x 38mm x 7mm recess for secure installation. The module's innovative approach to pet furniture design earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Pet Care, Toys, Supplies and Products for Animals Design category, acknowledging its contribution to advancing pet furniture design through its combination of aesthetic appeal and functional excellence. The design's versatility allows multiple units to be combined in various configurations, enabling pet owners to create customized climbing and resting spaces that accommodate feline hierarchical behaviors while maintaining interior design harmony. The construction emphasizes sustainability and maintenance practicality, featuring eco-friendly materials that are both safe for pet health and easy to clean, while the customizable front panel can be finished in any RAL color to integrate seamlessly with diverse interior styles.
