Polikultura Visual Identification

Polikultura Visual identification is a comprehensive visual communication system designed for a media and culture festival, exemplifying innovative approaches to graphic design through its rebellious and interactive nature. The design concept deliberately challenges conventional visual communication norms by incorporating elements of censorship, code-breaking, and institutional rebellion, manifesting these themes through intentionally distorted typography and interactive elements. Created through a hybrid process combining digital and manual techniques, the visual identity employs experimental scanning methods at low resolutions, featuring deliberately ragged letter edges and purposeful deformations achieved through dynamic paper manipulation during the scanning process. The system encompasses various communication materials, including B1 format posters, DL leaflets, and social media graphics, all unified by a distinctive Pantone 185C color scheme. A notable aspect of this design is its interactive component, where viewers are encouraged to engage physically with the materials, particularly through removable tape elements on posters that create a participatory experience aligning with the festival's theme of rebellious pursuance. The design successfully balances legibility with experimental expression, creating a visual language that effectively communicates the festival's countercultural spirit while maintaining functional clarity. This work, recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category, demonstrates excellence in combining conceptual depth with practical application in public space communication, showcasing how visual design can transcend traditional boundaries to create meaningful audience engagement.
