Poker Kingdom Coffee Gift Box

Poker Kingdom Coffee Gift Box

Poker Kingdom Coffee Gift Box is an innovative packaging design solution that revolutionizes the way coffee information is presented and classified through a creative poker-themed system. Developed by designer Jiang Hong-Da along with team members Su I-Chan and Gu Yi, this sophisticated gift box employs playing card elements to simplify complex coffee characteristics including types, flavors, origins, roasting levels, and processing methods. The design, measuring 235mm x 265mm x 140mm, utilizes high-density fibrous paper sourced from fir forest waste materials, demonstrating a strong commitment to environmental sustainability. The packaging features Pantone 871u rich gold coloring, enhanced through aqueous coating and overprinting techniques, symbolizing the fertile soil where coffee trees flourish. The design's systematic classification uses four suits to represent different processing methods, while incorporating the golden ratio and golden cut in its illustrations to achieve optimal geometric aesthetics. Each numbered card (1-10) corresponds to specific coffee characteristics, with face cards (J, Q, K) representing specialized processing methods. The jokers symbolize brightness and darkness, correlating to natural processed and night-picked beans respectively. This innovative design, which won a Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, masterfully combines professional roasting concepts, sophisticated brewing methods, unique blending approaches, and plantation techniques into an intuitive and user-friendly format that elevates the coffee selection experience.
