Poizo Smart Space Heater

Poizo Smart Space Heater

Poizo Smart space heater is an innovative infrared heating device that represents a significant advancement in personalized climate control technology. Designed by Adam Miklosi and Daniel Fekete from Hungary, this sophisticated appliance employs smart technology to deliver precisely targeted heat distribution through six independent far-infrared panels, each capable of producing 350W of heating power. The device's distinguishing feature lies in its ability to detect and track multiple users simultaneously, allowing individual temperature adjustments for different people within the same space, effectively addressing the common household challenge of varying thermal comfort preferences. Measuring 350 x 350 x 550 millimeters, the heater combines sophisticated sensor technology with wireless connectivity to optimize both personal comfort and energy efficiency. The design, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Home Appliances Design category, showcases a minimalist aesthetic approach that reduces visual noise in domestic environments while incorporating user-friendly interfaces through both touch controls and mobile application connectivity. The system's intelligent operation automatically adjusts output based on user presence, deactivating when individuals leave its detection zone, thereby maximizing energy efficiency. This innovative approach to space heating emerged from extensive consumer research and development using IBM Design Thinking methodology, addressing the significant issue of microclimate management in shared spaces while potentially reducing overall energy consumption through its targeted heating approach.
