Poiema Hotel Resort

Poiema Hotel Resort

Poiema Hotel Resort is an architecturally distinguished luxury hospitality development situated in the cosmopolitan seaside region of Sivota, Greece, exemplifying a harmonious integration of built environment with Mediterranean landscape. The resort, spanning an impressive 50,000 square meters of land with 10,000 square meters of built area, represents a sophisticated approach to contemporary hospitality design that prioritizes the symbiotic relationship between anthropogenic elements and natural surroundings. The architectural composition deliberately fragments into the hillside topography, following the natural gradient toward the Ionian Sea, with underground segments seamlessly merged with the terrain. This Bronze A' Design Award-winning project in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category features comprehensive amenities including a reception area, wellness facilities, restaurants, bars, meeting spaces, and approximately 200 accommodation units ranging from standard rooms to luxury villas. The design philosophy emphasizes uninterrupted views of the turquoise waters through strategic building placement and architectural alignments, while incorporating sustainable design principles through the thoughtful use of materials such as concrete, glass, and local stone. The resort's layout encompasses various recreational facilities including tennis courts, swimming pools, and a helicopter reception area, all integrated within the Mediterranean landscape characterized by indigenous olive trees and local flora. The architectural approach demonstrates particular innovation in its response to the challenging topography, creating multiple visual stimuli while maintaining functional efficiency and environmental sensitivity.
