PlantC Mobile App
PlantC Mobile App is an innovative mobile application designed to simplify and enhance the experience of house plant care through an intuitive user interface and comprehensive plant management features. The application, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Mobile Technologies, Applications and Software Design category, represents a significant advancement in digital plant care assistance. Developed through extensive market research involving over 300 participants and focused user testing, the application distinguishes itself with a carefully selected color scheme featuring #52A54E green and #FDFDFD white, chosen for its refreshing aesthetic appeal and high user preference rates. The interface incorporates sophisticated plant recognition technology, allowing users to identify unknown plant species through their device's camera, while also providing detailed care instructions and environmental monitoring capabilities. Created by designer Yanming Chen, the application addresses common challenges in plant care by offering personalized plant profiles, customizable care reminders, and real-time monitoring of room conditions and watering requirements. The system's architecture supports both iOS and Android platforms, ensuring broad accessibility while maintaining consistent functionality across devices. Through its human-centered design approach, the application successfully bridges the knowledge gap between casual plant enthusiasts and proper plant care practices, with research indicating that 90% of target users prefer its interface over competing solutions. The development process integrated various professional tools including Adobe XD, Illustrator, and Photoshop for creating both low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes, demonstrating a commitment to professional design standards and user experience optimization.
