Place Viau Brochure

Place Viau Brochure is an innovative retail marketing collateral piece that exemplifies sophisticated architectural-inspired design principles in print media. This distinctive sales brochure, measuring approximately 13.5 inches square, was meticulously crafted to attract potential retail tenants to a shopping complex in Quebec, Canada. The design's most notable feature is its ingenious dual-component structure, consisting of a primary brochure nestled within an exterior wrap that ingeniously folds to recreate the development's logo. The brochure's design language draws direct inspiration from the architectural elements of the shopping complex itself, incorporating translucent pages that mirror the building's glass facades and employing rectangular shapes that echo the structure's siding finishes. The sophisticated production techniques include die-cutting on heavy card stock for the wrap, secured by a clear acrylic band, while the interior pages feature innovative printing methods such as mirrored text treatments and translucent overlays. The design earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category, acknowledging its creative excellence in combining form and function. The brochure's thoughtful integration of architectural elements through graphic design demonstrates a masterful approach to visual storytelling, utilizing bright pink accents, varied finishes, and strategic use of transparency to create an engaging and memorable marketing tool that effectively communicates the property's modern aesthetic and commercial appeal.
