Pingxiang SunbiZitan Scenic Area Garden is an exemplary landscape architectural project located in the Tianzhong Area of Pingxiang, Jiangxi Province, China, encompassing approximately 110,000 square meters of thoughtfully designed space that harmoniously integrates traditional Chinese architecture with modern commercial functionality. This innovative development, recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Landscape Planning and Garden Design category, showcases a sophisticated approach to cultural preservation and contemporary urban development through its distinctive cluster-style layout and traditional wooden architecture. The project features multiple residence-style commercial buildings constructed using traditional Chinese wooden structures with mortise and tenon joints, demonstrating exceptional craftsmanship while incorporating modern waterproofing, fireproofing, and insect-proofing treatments. The design philosophy emphasizes the seamless integration of buildings with the landscape, utilizing natural materials such as lauan wood, rammed-earth walls, and small gray tiles, complemented by anti-slip natural stone slabs for hardscaping. The development encompasses 5,680 square meters of gross floor area dedicated to commercial and dining spaces, 14,172 square meters of hardscaped areas, and 90,548 square meters of green spaces and water features. The project's distinctive characteristic lies in its innovative water system design, where separate waterways flow through building clusters connected by pedestrian bridges, creating an immersive environment that pays homage to traditional Chinese garden design while serving modern commercial needs.
