The dispenser, crafted from HDPE and food-grade silicone, measures 130mm in length with a 29mm radius, featuring a unique pressure-activated dispensing mechanism that provides precise control over seasoning flow. Its ingenious design allows users to switch between salt and pepper by simply flipping the device, while the pinching action on the outer walls controls the flow rate of the selected seasoning. The product addresses common household inconveniences such as misplaced shakers and messy refilling processes through its innovative sealed design, which remains closed until pressure is applied. The development process, which spanned from March to August 2017, involved extensive research into flexible silicone properties and user behavior patterns, leading to ergonomic refinements such as strategically placed indicators to guide optimal pinching positions. This design innovation was recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design category in 2018, acknowledging its contribution to improving everyday dining experiences through its practical functionality and user-centered design approach.
