Photographic Or Art Mounts Of Paper Or Cardboard

Photographic or art mounts refer to the paper or cardboard material used to frame or display photographs or artwork. These mounts come in various sizes, colors, and textures, and are designed to enhance the presentation of the image they hold. They are commonly used in galleries, museums, and homes to showcase artwork, photographs, and other visual media. The primary purpose of photographic or art mounts is to provide a clean and professional-looking border around the image. The mount serves to separate the image from its surroundings, drawing the viewer's attention to the artwork or photograph. Additionally, the mount can protect the image from damage by providing a barrier between the image and any external elements that may come into contact with it. Photographic or art mounts are typically made from acid-free materials to prevent discoloration or deterioration over time. They may also be treated with UV inhibitors to protect against fading caused by exposure to sunlight. Some mounts may be textured or embossed to add depth and visual interest to the presentation. Overall, photographic or art mounts are an essential component of any display of artwork or photography. They provide a professional and polished look to the presentation, while also protecting the image from damage and deterioration.
