Phoenix Mansion

Phoenix Mansion is an exemplary architectural project that masterfully blends traditional Chinese design principles with contemporary residential architecture, situated in the Qingyang District covering a land area of 43,000 square meters. This distinguished residential development, completed in December 2020, showcases a harmonious integration of classical Chinese courtyard houses and modern multi-level buildings, achieving a floor area ratio of 2.0 across its impressive 138,000 square meter total area. The project's most distinctive feature is its three classic Chinese-style architectures positioned in the southeast corner, which create unique urban houses with courtyards characteristic of Chengdu's architectural heritage. The design philosophy centers around the traditional Chinese courtyard concept, where various courtyards are strategically scattered throughout the complex, serving as transitional spaces between public and private areas. The architectural composition employs a sophisticated material palette including aluminum panels, glass, wood, tiles, and stones, demonstrating a careful balance between durability and aesthetic appeal. The spatial organization follows a well-considered progression from public to private spaces, with courtyards functioning as communal areas that facilitate social interaction while maintaining residential privacy. This innovative approach to contemporary Chinese residential architecture earned the project a Silver A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, recognizing its excellence in spatial design, cultural sensitivity, and architectural innovation. The design successfully addresses the challenge of unifying contrasting architectural languages while maintaining coherence in spatial patterns and spiritual essence, creating a living environment that honors Chinese architectural traditions while meeting modern residential needs.
