Penthouse Living Residential Apartment

Penthouse Living Residential Apartment

Penthouse Living Residential Apartment is an award-winning interior design project located in Manhattan that exemplifies contemporary luxury living through thoughtful space planning and sustainable material selection. This sophisticated residential project, completed in 2014, encompasses 117.4 square meters of living space and showcases an innovative approach to open-plan living by seamlessly integrating living, dining, and kitchenette areas. The design, conceived by Mohamad Ibrahim Husin, demonstrates exceptional attention to material selection and spatial harmony, utilizing natural materials such as leather and wood to create a warm contrast against Manhattan's urban landscape. The interior scheme employs a carefully curated color palette of light grey and blue two-tone walls, inspired by the city skyline, while walnut furnishings complement the existing kitchenette design. The space features bespoke artisanal elements, including custom rugs and pottery, prioritizing craftsmanship over mass-produced items. Notable design elements include contemporary furniture pieces with clean lines, strategic black accents throughout the space, and yellow accent pieces in the master bedroom suite. The project, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, successfully addresses challenges such as service elevator limitations while incorporating advanced visualization technologies like VR for client approval. The design's emphasis on natural materials, energy efficiency, and water conservation aligns with contemporary sustainable design practices, while its attention to texture and pattern creates a cozy atmosphere within an urban setting.
