PEACOCK VASE Flower Vase

PEACOCK VASE Flower Vase

PEACOCK VASE Flower Vase is an innovative and aesthetically sophisticated floral display system that revolutionizes traditional vase design through its distinctive peacock-inspired radial arrangement. Created by architect and designer Steve Lee, this sculptural piece features twenty-one organically interconnected stems that create a mesmerizing fan-like pattern reminiscent of a peacock's display. The design, which earned a Golden A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, masterfully combines advanced manufacturing techniques with artistic vision, utilizing 3D printing technology and poly-resin casting to achieve its complex form. Standing at 497.8mm in height with a width of 404.2mm and depth of 263.3mm, the vase's structural composition employs a sophisticated truss system that evenly distributes weight while maintaining a minimal aesthetic presence. Each stem incorporates a removable glass test tube for water and flower placement, enabling flexible and dynamic floral arrangements without disturbing the main structure. The manufacturing process innovatively merges PLA thermoplastic shell construction with poly-resin infill, finished with a protective polyurethane coating that ensures durability and adds a luxurious glossy appearance. The vase's elevated design raises floral arrangements to create enhanced visibility and spatial depth, while its modular nature provides floral artists with unlimited creative possibilities for artistic expression. This piece represents a harmonious convergence of technological innovation, artistic vision, and functional design, demonstrating how contemporary manufacturing methods can be leveraged to create sophisticated decorative objects that enhance interior environments.
