Peace Of Mind Office

Peace Of Mind Office

Peace of Mind Office is an award-winning interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of workspace functionality with natural elements, located on the second floor of a building in Taichung, Taiwan. This 300-square-meter office space, designed by Jacksam Yang, represents a sophisticated approach to contemporary workplace design that prioritizes tranquility and well-being. The design philosophy centers on creating a fresh and peaceful retreat from urban chaos, achieved through thoughtful architectural elements such as large floor-to-ceiling windows that frame views of surrounding parkland and strategically placed pine trees. The interior showcases a refined material palette dominated by gentle wooden tones and clear glass partitions, which replace traditional walls to maximize natural light penetration and create a sense of openness. The design's innovative approach to workspace planning demonstrates a masterful balance between aesthetic refinement and practical functionality, incorporating elements that respond to seasonal changes and natural rhythms. Notable features include the integration of natural soundscapes, such as the chirping of warbling white-eye birds, which contribute to the space's calming atmosphere. The project, completed in 2021, earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its excellence in creating a harmonious work environment that successfully merges professional requirements with biophilic design principles. The space exemplifies how modern office design can effectively incorporate elements of modest luxury, artistic expression, and environmental consciousness while maintaining a focus on productivity and employee well-being.
