Paranormal Wine Family

Paranormal Wine Family

Paranormal Wine Family is an innovative wine bottle collection design that exemplifies the fusion of mystical aesthetics with contemporary packaging design principles. The design, created by Estudio Maba, draws inspiration from ancient alchemy books and historical codices, featuring meticulously crafted illustrations that portray haunting and ironic visual narratives through digital engraving techniques. The collection's distinctive design elements include high-relief cotton paper labels enhanced with stamping and varnish strokes, complemented by deliberately imperfect typefaces that emulate traditional letterpress printing methods. This sophisticated packaging design, which garnered a Golden A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category in 2020, represents a magical interpretation of supernatural phenomena, creating a unique brand identity that balances mystery with commercial appeal. The design's execution demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in its illustration work, particularly in the careful management of shadow effects and the integration of aged, vintage-inspired typography. Applied to both Bordeaux and Burgundy bottle formats, the design successfully combines timeless elegance with contemporary sophistication, while maintaining a consistent narrative throughout the collection. The project's success lies in its ability to create a lasting impression through its thoughtful balance of classical elements and modern design sensibilities, offering a fresh perspective on wine packaging that appeals to sophisticated consumers while maintaining a sense of whimsy and intrigue.
