Paganini Rhapsody Residential

Paganini Rhapsody Residential

Paganini Rhapsody Residential is an innovative architectural interior design project completed in 2020, distinguished by its musical-inspired aesthetic and barrier-free spatial design philosophy. Located in Taiwan, this 231-square-meter residential villa masterfully integrates elements from Paganini's La Campanella and Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini into its architectural vocabulary, creating a harmonious blend of functionality and artistic expression. The design's most notable feature is the transformation of traditional stairs into accessible ramps, demonstrating a forward-thinking approach to universal design principles. The interior space is characterized by structural pillars that reference feminine curves, rendered in bold red tones to express vitality and enthusiasm. Geometric golden decorations throughout the space evoke piano keyboards and violin strings, creating a visual symphony that pays homage to its musical inspiration. The project showcases innovative space planning, with simplified compartments and large drop curtains that enhance spatial perception. The four-floor layout includes thoughtfully distributed living areas, with the ground floor featuring a barrier-free living room, while upper levels accommodate private spaces including bedrooms and storage areas. The design employs sophisticated material combinations, including protective metal plates and precision CNC-cut components, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail in both aesthetics and functionality. This exceptional residential project, designed by Chen Yung Cheng, was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2021, recognizing its outstanding contribution to residential interior design innovation.
