P12 - Organic Concrete House is an innovative architectural masterpiece situated on Mount Carmel, Israel, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, distinguished by its yacht-inspired design and sophisticated structural engineering. This remarkable residential project, designed by architect Ariel Isaac Franco, encompasses approximately 1,800 square meters of built area on a 2,000-square-meter plot, featuring three distinct deck-like levels that provide separate living spaces while maintaining privacy and maximizing panoramic sea views. The design philosophy embraces the principle of Form Follows Function, incorporating tectonic architectural elements and hydroodynamic properties derived from yacht design, resulting in both exterior and interior spaces that seamlessly blend with their maritime surroundings. The structure showcases several innovative technical achievements, including a specially designed ceramic tile outer skin system installed 15 centimeters from the insulation layer, creating an efficient thermal buffer zone. A particularly noteworthy feature is the suspended 250-square-meter concrete parking structure, which hovers two meters above the main house, creating a dramatic architectural tension while meeting strict security requirements. The residence incorporates an L-shaped layout that ensures optimal sea views and privacy, complemented by extensive outdoor amenities including an infinity pool, Jacuzzi, and recreational areas. The project, completed in 2017 and recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, featuring custom-designed elements and modified window systems that accommodate unique 78-degree angles, ultimately creating a harmonious blend of innovative design, functional efficiency, and architectural excellence.
