Our Stories Exhibition

Our Stories Exhibition is an innovative and comprehensive educational space designed to enhance visitor engagement with art through interactive experiences and multimedia installations. Created by Canadian designer Stefan Canuel in 2017, this 440-square-meter exhibition space was meticulously divided into eight distinct sections, each serving a specific pedagogical purpose in art appreciation and understanding. The exhibition's sophisticated design framework incorporated various learning methodologies to accommodate diverse visitor preferences, featuring elements such as interactive digital displays, immersive physical installations, and engaging multimedia presentations. The space included notable features such as a 12-foot diameter interactive map table with backlit displays, digital art creation stations equipped with iPads, and a life-size historical set recreation. The exhibition's thoughtful layout guided visitors through multiple facets of art appreciation, from technical processes and historical contexts to contemporary interpretations and personal engagement opportunities. The design successfully addressed the challenge of presenting complex art historical information in an accessible and engaging format, utilizing advanced visualization techniques and interactive technologies. This innovative approach to exhibition design earned recognition through the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its contribution to advancing museum education and visitor engagement strategies. The exhibition's success lay in its ability to seamlessly integrate educational content with interactive experiences, creating a dynamic environment that encouraged both learning and creative expression while maintaining high standards of aesthetic and functional design.
