Our Place Residence
Our Place Residence is an award-winning residential interior design project that exemplifies modern living spaces optimized for both human and pet inhabitants. Located in Taiwan, this 102.4-square-meter apartment showcases a sophisticated approach to contemporary living through its thoughtful integration of pet-friendly features and elegant design elements. The project's distinctive characteristics include an open-plan layout that seamlessly connects the living room, dining room, and kitchen, creating a harmonious flow throughout the space. The design philosophy emphasizes natural light and spatial efficiency, incorporating large floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the interior with daylight while complementing the predominantly white color palette. Notable design elements include large-format tiles that minimize visual segmentation, a striking marble television wall with vertical lines creating visual hierarchy, and custom storage solutions featuring hollowed-out bases for pet accessibility. The material palette combines gray marble, natural wood veneer, and titanium-plated metal, creating a refined aesthetic that balances cool and warm tones. The project, recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional attention to sustainability through its use of certified green building materials and energy-efficient design strategies. Designer Louis Liu's innovative approach addresses the unique challenge of accommodating twelve cats and one dog while maintaining a sophisticated, modern aesthetic that prioritizes both functionality and visual appeal. The residence features specialized storage solutions, including hidden cabinets and a thoughtfully designed entrance area with titanium-plated sliding doors that enhance the spatial flow and maintain visual continuity throughout the interior.
