Oulevi Packaging Design Draft Beer

Oulevi Packaging Design Draft Beer

Oulevi Packaging Design Draft Beer is an innovative packaging design solution that exemplifies the fusion of storytelling and functional aesthetics in beverage container design. Created by Chinese designer Zhangyong Hou, this sophisticated packaging concept employs a distinctive visual language that transforms a stainless steel beer can into an engaging narrative vessel. The design's primary feature is its clever incorporation of illustrative elements that depict the global sourcing of premium ingredients - Australian barley, North American hops, and Northern European yeast - within the silhouette of a beer glass, creating an immediately recognizable brand symbol. This 1-liter container, with development dimensions of 274mm in length and 193mm in height, addresses the fundamental challenge of shelf visibility for emerging brands while simultaneously communicating product quality through visual storytelling. The design, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category in 2021, demonstrates exceptional consideration for consumer engagement and brand identity establishment. The packaging's innovative approach lies in its ability to convey complex product information through intuitive visual elements, making the premium nature of the craft beer immediately apparent to consumers. The design successfully balances aesthetic appeal with practical functionality, utilizing the entire surface area of the container to create an immersive brand experience that educates consumers about the product's premium ingredients and craftsmanship.
