Others Design Touch Reception center is an innovative interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of Art Deco, Surrealist, and Rationalist design principles, spanning across three distinct floors in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. Completed in March 2016, this 753.72-square-meter space demonstrates a sophisticated approach to modern reception area design, thoughtfully divided into Concierge Area, Distribution Area, and VIP Area, each maintaining its unique atmospheric quality while contributing to a cohesive whole. The design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases remarkable spatial innovation through its strategic use of decorative screens at varying angles, mosaic stripe elements in the receptionist desk, and carefully curated natural materials including leather and stone. The project's distinctive features include a large chessboard-shaped bookcase that creates an intellectual yet relaxing environment, handcrafted egg crack grain paint paired with rational bronze stripes, and geometric patterns that generate a mysterious classic atmosphere. The design successfully addresses the challenge of irregular angles resulting from the building's location on a traffic circle by implementing a holistic approach that transforms potentially awkward spaces into flowing, harmonious environments. The sophisticated classic elements exhibited through natural furniture selections create a bridge between futuristic design and nostalgic elements, while the thoughtful incorporation of curves in wall designs and movable decorations enhances the sensory experience of visitors, demonstrating a masterful balance between functionality and aesthetic appeal.
