Origin Design Residential

Origin Design Residential is an award-winning interior design project that exemplifies contemporary urban living through its sophisticated minimalist approach and thoughtful spatial organization. The design, created by Chiung-Ho Su, represents a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetic refinement, particularly tailored for a couple seeking tranquility within an urban setting. The 13,130mm x 8,670mm x 3,100mm space employs a carefully curated palette of natural materials, including marble, stone, leather, glass, and metal, orchestrated to create a serene living environment. The design's distinctive features include an open-plan layout that seamlessly integrates the kitchen, living room, and study area to foster familial interaction, while utilizing gray glass doors to maintain spatial continuity while delineating private areas. A notable element is the sophisticated dressing room, featuring red leather walls inlaid with titanium, creating an haute couture atmosphere that elevates the daily ritual of dressing. The project, completed in 2017 in Taipei, demonstrates exceptional material articulation, with various marble selections creating natural ink-wash painting effects throughout different spaces. The design philosophy centers on softening emotions through space, achieved by minimizing visual pressure through the use of gray and achromatic colors in open areas. This residential project, which earned recognition at the A' Design Award competition in the Interior Space category, successfully addresses the challenge of creating a quiet sanctuary within an urban context while maintaining a sophisticated aesthetic that balances practical functionality with refined elegance.
