Oriental Treasures Furniture Collection
Oriental Treasures Furniture Collection is an exemplary fusion of Oriental design philosophy and Italian craftsmanship, comprising four distinctive luxury furniture pieces that reimagine classical Chinese furniture for contemporary spaces. Created by Chinese interior designer and architect Chen Xuan in 2018, this collection includes the Royal Medicinal Cabinet, Emperor's Clothes Rack, Auspicious Dresser, and Mountain Altar, each piece embodying a sophisticated interpretation of traditional Chinese furniture archetypes. The Royal Medicinal Cabinet, a modern rendition of the classical apothecary cabinet, features meticulous drawer detailing with a dual-color finish and is adorned with 24-karat gold finish knobs, while its structure is elegantly framed by a gold-finished top board and rounded stand. The Emperor's Clothes Rack introduces functional innovation through its dual-height hanging rods finished in 24-karat gold, complemented by storage drawers for accessories. The Auspicious Dresser serves as a versatile storage solution, designed to integrate seamlessly into both wardrobe systems and bedroom settings. The Mountain Altar, perhaps the most avant-garde piece in the collection, presents a semi-clear bent glass console enhanced with intricate ancient wood inlays, demonstrating a masterful blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern materials. This collection, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2019, represents a significant achievement in cross-cultural design synthesis, addressing both functional requirements and aesthetic refinement while maintaining strong connections to Chinese architectural and cultural heritage. The collection's development involved extensive collaboration with manufacturers to resolve complex structural mechanics challenges, resulting in pieces that not only serve practical purposes but also function as sophisticated artistic statements in contemporary interior spaces.
