Organic Space Residential House

Organic Space Residential House

Organic Space Residential House is an innovative residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of natural elements and contemporary living spaces, completed in Taiwan in 2018. The design philosophy centers on the fundamental elements of sunlight, air, and water, masterfully incorporating these natural components through a sophisticated interplay of materials including wood grain, leather, cloth, and glass. This 162-square-foot interior space demonstrates exceptional spatial planning through its multi-layered approach to design, where the overlapping of different materials and varying elevation levels creates a dynamic yet naturally humanized environment. The project's distinctive features include a carefully conceived lighting design that effectively eliminates structural constraints, particularly evident in the treatment of the TV cabinet area, while three-dimensional open shelving units employ curved surfaces to maintain visual fluidity. The design achieves remarkable functionality through integrated storage solutions, including a main wall shelving unit that combines hidden door panels and entertainment systems, seamlessly merging practical necessities with aesthetic excellence. The project, which earned an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases innovative spatial composition where asymmetrical balance and proportional division establish powerful aesthetics, while strategically placed windows serve as dialogue points between interior and exterior environments, creating a rich, multifaceted living experience that evolves with the passage of time and changing seasons.
