OPEN 45 Credenza
OPEN 45 Credenza is an innovative furniture design that revolutionizes traditional storage solutions through its distinctive 45-degree angular display configuration, created by designer Adam Friedman. This contemporary credenza, which earned the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2019, represents a significant advancement in functional furniture design by addressing the common out of sight, out of mind problem associated with traditional storage units. The piece features a sophisticated modular design with customizable components, including adjustable shelves and movable dividers, allowing users to personalize their storage configuration. Its unique 45-degree angle presentation enables stored items to 'look up' at the user, enhancing visibility and accessibility while maintaining an elegant aesthetic. The credenza incorporates several technical innovations, including a concealed cord management system running the length of the unit, removable vented side panels for proper air circulation, and specialized vibration isolation materials that ensure optimal sound quality for audio equipment. Available in two standard sizes - 2133.6mm x 546.1mm x 533.4mm and 1524mm x 546.1mm x 533.4mm - with custom sizing options, the design emphasizes both form and function through its clean lines and practical features. The development process, which spanned from 2017 to 2018, involved extensive research and consultation with audiophiles, resulting in thoughtful details such as magnetized end closures and specific material choices that enhance both user experience and acoustic performance.
