Oka Eye Exhibition Stand
Oka Eye Exhibition stand is an innovative architectural exhibition design concept that exemplifies the creative process through its distinctive spatial narrative and metaphorical representation. This platinum A' Design Award-winning installation, created by designer Marek Maciuba, features a sophisticated half-transparent facade incorporating randomly placed wooden lamellas that create a compelling visual dialogue between exterior and interior spaces. The stand, encompassing 430 square meters with dimensions of 15 by 27 meters, employs a unique architectural approach where design elements progressively concentrate toward a hollow entrance, symbolizing the creative journey from conceptual inspiration to tangible realization. The structure's distinctive facade, constructed with printed mesh material, serves as a canvas that illustrates the design thinking process, with wooden laths and conceptual text elements strategically dispersed to represent the dynamic state of creative ideation. The interior space is thoughtfully segmented into five distinct functional zones: an open space showcasing various workspace configurations, a dedicated collection exhibition area on an elevated platform, a relaxation zone for informal interactions, a private conference room featuring premium designs, and an innovative virtual reality room offering immersive spatial experiences. This architectural installation stands as a metaphor for the creative process itself, where the convergence of ideas at the entrance symbolizes the transformative moment of creative inspiration, leading visitors through a carefully orchestrated journey that reveals the evolution from conceptual thinking to finished design products. The stand's innovative approach to exhibition design earned recognition at the prestigious A' Design Award competition, highlighting its success in creating an engaging spatial narrative that effectively communicates the design process while providing an immersive visitor experience.
