ODTU Sanat 20 Visual Identity Design

ODTU Sanat 20 Visual Identity Design

ODTU Sanat 20 Visual Identity Design is a sophisticated visual identity system created for an annual art festival's twentieth anniversary celebration, exemplifying excellence in graphic design and visual communication. The design concept approaches the anniversary celebration as an art piece waiting to be unveiled, utilizing innovative layering techniques to create a striking three-dimensional illusion. The visual system employs carefully crafted shadows between similarly colored layers to form the numbers 2 and 0, resulting in a relief-like appearance that seems to melt into the background. A distinctive vibrant coral color was strategically chosen to ensure high visibility and immediate recognition, particularly within a predominantly green environment. The design successfully balances aesthetic appeal with functional requirements, incorporating adaptable elements that maintain consistency across various printed and digital media formats, ranging from A6-sized program brochures to large-scale 5m x 8m banners. The project, completed between October 2018 and March 2019, demonstrates exceptional technical expertise in creating depth perception through graphic design, while maintaining legibility and visual impact across multiple applications. The design's excellence was recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to visual storytelling and its successful fulfillment of complex institutional requirements.
