Oasis The City Home Garden Home Garden
Oasis the city home garden Home Garden is an innovative landscape architecture project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of historical preservation with contemporary design sensibilities in an urban context. This sophisticated garden design, created by Agnieszka Hubeny-Zukowska, transforms a challenging 110-meter-long, 33-meter-wide urban plot with a 7-meter height differential into a multi-tiered sanctuary that seamlessly blends historical elements with modern aesthetics. The garden, which surrounds a 160-year-old villa in a city center, is strategically divided into three distinct levels, each serving specific functions while maintaining visual cohesion. The lowest level incorporates a front garden that thoughtfully balances conservation requirements with contemporary design elements, while the second level features a recreational space complete with two gazebos ingeniously positioned atop an underground pool and garage complex. The third level hosts a woodland children's garden, creating a natural play environment. The design employs sophisticated water features, including water stairs and a water wall, to mask urban noise and create a tranquil atmosphere. The project's technical execution involved the installation of 360 cubic meters of garden soil, the planting of 1,700 shrubs including 700 boxwood specimens, and nearly 1,700 perennials, with seasonal displays incorporating 3,000 tulip bulbs and 4,000 pansies annually. The garden's sophisticated irrigation and drainage systems, smart home technology integration, and carefully curated plant selection demonstrate exceptional attention to sustainability and maintenance considerations. This remarkable achievement in urban landscape design was recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Landscape Planning and Garden Design category, acknowledging its outstanding contribution to contemporary garden design and its successful resolution of complex urban landscaping challenges.
