Located in the heart of Madrid, this 36-square-meter space masterfully combines a retail showcase for natural cosmetics with therapeutic facilities, embodying a sophisticated approach to modern wellness design. The architectural concept, recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, employs organic geometry to optimize spatial organization within compact dimensions. The design's distinctive feature is its creative use of bamboo elements, incorporating both natural bamboo poles as architectural elements and bamboo flooring in varying tones to create visual continuity and warmth. The entrance is characterized by an overhead marquee surrounded by horizontal bamboo sticks, creating an immediate connection with the project's natural aesthetic. The interior space is thoughtfully segmented into distinct functional zones, including a retail area, relaxation space, massage rooms, and a hammam, all unified through consistent material usage and atmospheric lighting. The hammam space evokes a cave-like ambiance through its flat-vaulted ceiling and carefully selected ceramic treatments in earth tones. The design successfully addresses the challenge of maximizing functionality within limited space through innovative solutions such as integrated shelving systems, a versatile counter area, and strategic placement of natural plants. The lighting design plays a fundamental role, utilizing LED systems to create warm, relaxing atmospheres that enhance both the bamboo elements and plastered walls.
