Crafted from Carapa guianensis (Andiroba) hardwood and measuring 360 mm x 615 mm x 40 mm with a weight of 880 grams, the tray showcases exceptional material efficiency through advanced 3D optimization and iterative prototyping processes. The design's aesthetic appeal is enhanced through the application of natural pigments and polyurethane finishing, which accentuate the wood's natural figure and iridescence. This innovative serving tray, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design category, demonstrates how thoughtful design can transform everyday utilitarian objects into functionally superior products that seamlessly blend practicality with refined aesthetics.
