No8 Residential Space

No8 Residential Space is an innovative residential interior design project that exemplifies the sophisticated integration of color block composition and temporal design philosophy. Located in Mailiao, Taiwan, this architectural intervention demonstrates a pioneering approach to spatial design through its distinctive use of large-scale chromatic elements and their strategic layering. The design's conceptual framework revolves around the interpretation of the relationship between daily life and temporal progression, manifesting through carefully orchestrated color block combinations that create a heightened sense of vitality and movement within the living space. The project, completed in March 2023 by designer Cheng Han Wu, incorporates sustainable design principles through the implementation of renewable materials and energy-efficient systems, reflecting contemporary environmental consciousness. The space's dynamic nature is further enhanced by its adaptability to different temporal contexts, transforming from an active, multifunctional environment during daylight hours to a serene, contemplative setting in the evening. This temporal flexibility directly addresses the diverse functional requirements of modern living while fostering a stronger connection between residential and professional life spheres. The design's innovative approach to spatial composition and its commitment to sustainability earned recognition at the A' Design Award competition, receiving an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its contribution to advancing residential interior design practices through its unique combination of aesthetic sophistication and practical functionality.
