Neutral Line Residence

Neutral Line Residence

Neutral Line Residence is an award-winning residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of modern aesthetics, smart technology, and thoughtful spatial planning. Located on the 12th floor in Zhubei City, Taiwan, this sophisticated living space showcases a masterful balance of warm and cool elements through its carefully curated material palette, featuring Spanish imported marble tiles, metal hardware finished with Moru glass, wooden veneers, and special Italian paint treatments. The design's primary concept revolves around a neutral white color scheme that serves as a canvas for the interplay of light and shadow, creating dynamic spatial experiences throughout the day. The residence incorporates innovative solutions for contemporary living, including a smart home system that enables remote control of various household functions, from lighting to appliances. Notable architectural features include a strategically placed Feng Shui aquarium that doubles as a space divider, linear design elements that effectively delineate different living zones, and a corner couch arrangement that maximizes views of the Hsinchu City skyline. The project, completed in August 2020, successfully transformed the original layout to accommodate three bedrooms and a gathering-friendly dining area, while addressing spatial challenges through clever design solutions such as using black mirror elements on the ceiling to visually expand areas with low beam constraints. This exemplary piece of interior architecture, recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in 2021 in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional achievement in combining functionality, aesthetics, and technological integration within a residential context.
