Nava 9 Villa
Nava 9 Villa is an innovative architectural project situated on the east side of Siung Peninsula, Lombok Island, Indonesia, that exemplifies a harmonious blend of mythological inspiration and contemporary design principles. The architectural concept draws profound inspiration from the Norse mythology of Yggdrasil and its nine realms, manifesting this ancient narrative through sophisticated design elements, spatial organization, and structural forms. The development encompasses nine distinct oceanview villas, each featuring a unique reversed entrance system that welcomes guests from the upper hillside via connecting bridges, creating an unprecedented arrival experience. Each villa unit, spanning 167.58 square meters across two levels plus a rooftop, incorporates two bedrooms, three bathrooms, and premium amenities including a sky-deck, dining area, and balcony. The architectural composition employs a sophisticated combination of wide flange steel construction for the bridges and concrete structures for the individual villas, while incorporating sustainable elements such as tempered double-glass for thermal regulation in the tropical climate. The project, recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, distinguishes itself through its innovative approach to topographical integration, featuring shared facilities such as a thematic garden inspired by the Garden of Eden, an infinity pool, and strategic viewing points that capitalize on the 360-degree ocean views. The design successfully addresses practical challenges through solutions such as alternative ground-level access during inclement weather and specialized marine paint treatment for corrosion protection, while maintaining its artistic integrity and functional efficiency.
