Naturally Home Interior Design

Naturally Home Interior Design

Naturally Home Interior Design is a minimalist residential interior design project that exemplifies the seamless integration of natural elements within an urban living space. Created by designers Huang Chih Pen and Lin Ya Ching in 2016, this 62-square-meter apartment renovation in New Taipei demonstrates a sophisticated approach to biophilic design principles. The project's core philosophy centers on creating an unobstructed connection between interior and exterior spaces, particularly emphasizing the apartment's privileged position adjacent to Xinzhuang Sports Park's verdant landscape. The design methodology deliberately eschews excessive carpentry and superfluous finishes, instead embracing essential materials and necessary elements to craft a pure, uncluttered environment. Notable features include strategically positioned windows that facilitate natural ventilation and visual connectivity with the surrounding greenery, waterproof surfaces with minimal tiling in wet areas, and an open-plan layout that promotes the unrestricted flow of natural light and air throughout the space. This thoughtful transformation of a three-decade-old apartment earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to spatial design and material selection. The project's success lies in its ability to create a luxury experience through simplicity and natural integration, rather than through ornate decorative elements, establishing a new paradigm for urban residential design that prioritizes environmental connection and essential living.
