Nanzhao Inn Hotel

Nanzhao Inn Hotel

Nanzhao Inn Hotel is an exemplary architectural and interior design project located in the historic Naxi Ancient Street of Lijiang, China, representing a harmonious fusion of traditional Chinese cultural elements with contemporary luxury hospitality design. This distinguished establishment, completed in 2018 under the creative direction of designers Miaoyi Jiang and Dong Wang, encompasses approximately 1,711 square meters and features 15 meticulously crafted rooms, including two luxury suites, two twin bedrooms, and eleven standard large bedrooms. The design philosophy draws profound inspiration from local architectural characteristics and Dongba culture, incorporating indigenous materials such as green brick, wood veneer, and traditional stonework to create an authentic yet refined aesthetic experience. The spatial arrangement demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, with carefully planned circulation paths and thoughtfully designed functional areas including a welcoming lobby and an innovative balcony barbecue zone. The interior design scheme employs a sophisticated combination of traditional and modern materials, utilizing wood veneer to articulate classical Chinese architectural elements while implementing warm texture paint and carefully selected wall coverings to create an inviting atmosphere. The project's commitment to cultural preservation and modern comfort earned it the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its outstanding achievement in creating a space that successfully balances luxury hospitality with cultural authenticity. The design's particular emphasis on incorporating local materials and ethnic minority cultural elements results in a space that not only serves its commercial purpose but also acts as a cultural bridge, offering guests an immersive experience in Lijiang's rich heritage while enjoying modern comforts.
