Nanxing Yanlord 185A Show Apartment

Nanxing Yanlord 185A Show Apartment is an exemplary residential interior design project located in Hangzhou, China, near the Qian Tang river, embodying a sophisticated interpretation of contemporary Chinese living spaces. This 185-square-meter show apartment, completed in 2019, represents a significant advancement in luxury residential design, masterfully blending functionality with artistic expression to create a harmonious living environment. The design philosophy centers on creating a healing space that serves as a serene refuge from urban life, incorporating carefully curated artwork and thoughtful spatial arrangements that enhance daily rituals. The interior architecture employs a meticulous approach to material selection and craftsmanship, featuring precise millimeter-scale attention to lighting and shadow play, creating depth and dimension throughout the space. The layout progresses from a welcoming entrance with warm wooden cabinetry to an open-plan living area featuring expansive windows, while each room maintains its distinct character through varied material palettes and atmospheric designs. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2020, demonstrates exceptional innovation in addressing the evolving needs of modern Chinese families, particularly in its integration of art appreciation spaces and its emphasis on creating moments of tranquility and family connection. The design's success lies in its universal appeal while remaining culturally relevant to Hangzhou's society, showcasing sophisticated detailing in material transitions and spatial flow that creates a compelling model for contemporary Chinese residential design.
