Nanning Haoyouyuan State Banquet Restaurant

Nanning Haoyouyuan State Banquet Restaurant

Nanning Haoyouyuan State Banquet Restaurant is an exemplary architectural and interior design achievement that masterfully blends traditional Chinese spatial concepts with contemporary design elements. Located in Nanning City, China, this prestigious establishment, completed in November 2019, draws inspiration from the traditional Chinese three-in-one courtyard system, which has been thoughtfully deconstructed and reorganized to create a sophisticated dining venue. The design, led by Liu Haodong with team members Guo Xin, Liu Bo, and Zi Yan, features a striking entrance facade inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater villa, incorporating a modern oriental aesthetic through the combination of stainless steel structures and expansive glass curtain walls that reflect beautifully in the surrounding pool. The interior space employs modern curved surface modeling and metal grid elements to create seamless spatial transitions, while maintaining a sense of ceremony throughout. The color palette primarily consists of black, white, and bronze gold, complemented by wood finish materials that contribute to the space's elegant simplicity. This high-end restaurant, which won the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2021, exemplifies innovative space utilization and sophisticated design principles, successfully overcoming challenges related to large-scale hotel catering requirements while maintaining aesthetic integrity and functional efficiency.
