Muse Decorative Plate

Muse Decorative Plate

Muse Decorative plate is an innovative ceramic tableware design that seamlessly combines functional utility with artistic expression, created by Colombian designer Marianela Salinas Jaimes. This bifunctional piece, measuring 22 centimeters in width and length with a height of 2 centimeters, features a sophisticated serigraphic illustration that depicts a divine feminine presence adorned with natural elements and floral motifs, embodying themes of delicacy and nature. The design employs a specialized vitrified sticker application process utilizing lead-free pigments, which undergoes high-temperature curing to ensure exceptional durability and longevity of the printed illustration. The plate's technical excellence lies in its ability to maintain the intricate detail and quality of the illustration while withstanding daily use, including microwave heating and dishwasher cleaning, making it both a practical serving vessel and an elegant decorative object. This design, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category, represents a thoughtful fusion of traditional ceramic craftsmanship with contemporary surface design techniques. The creation process, developed in Bogota, Colombia, involved extensive research into both decorative dining accessories and ceramic printing methodologies, resulting in a product that successfully addresses the challenge of creating detailed, durable illustrations on functional tableware. The plate's design philosophy emphasizes the harmonious relationship between artistic expression and practical functionality, offering users the flexibility to utilize it either as a striking decorative piece or as an elevated dining accessory that brings artistic sophistication to everyday meals.
