Situated on a distinctive pentagonal corner lot adjacent to a waterway, this two-story wooden structure masterfully integrates flood mitigation strategies through its elevated foundation design and drive-through garage configuration. The residence, which garnered recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, demonstrates exceptional spatial efficiency within its 81.73 square meters of total floor area. The design philosophy emphasizes a three-dimensional openness that facilitates natural light penetration and air circulation while maintaining a careful balance between public accessibility and private living spaces. Notable technical achievements include superior insulation performance (grade 6) with a Ua value of 0.37, incorporating heat exchange ductless ventilation and comprehensive air sealing measures, enabling near-zero heating requirements even during winter months.
