Moshang City House

Moshang City House

Moshang City House is an exemplary residential interior design project that masterfully integrates modern aesthetics with traditional Chinese design philosophy, completed in 2020 in Anji, Huzhou, Zhejiang. This 175-square-meter space showcases a sophisticated interpretation of contemporary Oriental design, characterized by its light wood tones, natural marble furnishings, and thoughtfully curated geometric elements. The design's foundational concept draws inspiration from Chinese aesthetics, particularly embodying the principle of flowing past square and round, where architectural lines seamlessly blend with aesthetic rules to create a harmonious living environment. The interior features a carefully orchestrated color palette dominated by light beige tones, accented with malachite green and orange elements, while yellow bronze material details outline elegant architectural lines throughout the space. The living area is distinguished by its black coffee table, cloud-patterned carpet, and abstract landscape paintings that create a cohesive visual narrative. The master bedroom and study area incorporate innovative grid partitioning that manipulates light and shadow, creating unique textural experiences. The project, which won the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2022, demonstrates exceptional spatial planning that balances functionality with aesthetic refinement, featuring modern interpretations of traditional Chinese elements through contemporary furniture selections and architectural details that create a sophisticated dialogue between tradition and modernity.
