Mosaic Portrait Movie Poster

Mosaic Portrait Movie Poster

Mosaic Portrait Movie Poster is a profound and emotionally charged visual communication design that serves as the conceptual poster for an art film addressing themes of sexual assault and trauma. Created through sophisticated digital illustration techniques using professional software such as Photoshop, this 75x105cm poster masterfully employs symbolic imagery and metaphorical elements to convey its sensitive narrative. The design's distinctive artistic approach features a central figure of a girl whose head is covered with white cloth, symbolizing both death and purity, while incorporating suggestive elements such as geckos, fallen glass bottles, water, daisies, and goldfish to represent themes of violence, sexuality, and lost innocence. The poster's composition draws inspiration from Edward Hopper's artistic style, creating a sense of alienation that amplifies the underlying emotional tension. The design successfully balances artistic expression with commercial requirements, integrating handwritten typography that adds a personal touch to the overall composition. This innovative approach to movie poster design, which won the Silver A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category, demonstrates exceptional skill in combining aesthetic sophistication with meaningful storytelling, challenging conventional poster design norms while effectively serving its promotional purpose.
