Mora35 Residential

Mora35 Residential

Mora35 Residential is an exemplary interior design project that masterfully transforms a 52-square-meter postwar apartment into a sophisticated smart living space, harmoniously blending historical architecture with contemporary design elements. Located in an aristocratic residential neighborhood, this renovation project stands as a testament to thoughtful spatial planning and material selection, featuring a seamless integration of brass, oak wood, and white textured surfaces that create a timeless aesthetic appeal. The design philosophy emphasizes the preservation of the building's 1955 heritage while incorporating modern amenities, including a comprehensive KNX Smart Home System that enables remote control of lighting, heating, cooling, and motorized shades. The interior's distinctive features include innovative brass plinths that create an illusion of floating walls, doorways without traditional sills but outlined with subtle brass bands, and custom-designed solid oak furniture that complements the space's architectural elements. The project's technical achievements include the successful retrofitting of floor heating in a historical structure, while its aesthetic accomplishments are evident in the careful stereotomy of the wooden flooring that creates a continuous dialogue between spaces. The kitchen showcases a sophisticated integration of brass elements that enhance spatial perception through light reflections, while sculptural lighting fixtures and rounded motifs throughout the apartment establish a balanced visual hierarchy. Recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2022, this project exemplifies excellence in combining historical preservation with modern functionality, demonstrating how limited space can be transformed into a luxurious, technologically advanced living environment without compromising architectural integrity.
