Moon of Elegance Residential House is an innovative residential interior design project specifically crafted for a retired senior couple, exemplifying thoughtful spatial planning and ergonomic considerations in contemporary living spaces. The design, which garnered recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, masterfully combines functionality with aesthetic elegance across its 134.54m² area. Distinguished by its curvilinear elements and absence of sharp angles, the design prioritizes safety and ease of movement for its elderly residents while maintaining sophisticated architectural integrity. The interior features an integrated spatial design that maximizes the available space through strategic use of see-through elements, including custom-designed storage solutions utilizing one-piece iron and brushed hardwood veneer. The color palette employs warm, dull tones, with salmon pink panels in the kitchen and African glistening teak for the dining table, creating a harmonious and welcoming atmosphere. Notable design elements include the innovative treatment of the master bedroom and bathroom interface, where aluminum-framed doors with matt glass featuring rain-icicle patterns allow natural light penetration while maintaining privacy. The project, completed in January 2021 in Taichung, demonstrates exceptional attention to practical considerations such as easy maintenance, heat resistance, and stain resistance, particularly in the kitchen area where specialized storage solutions cater to senior users' needs. The design's sophisticated lighting scheme, featuring indirect illumination and carefully positioned fixtures, further enhances the space's functionality while contributing to its overall elegant ambiance.
