Mooi Sports Clubbing

Mooi Sports Clubbing

Mooi Sports Clubbing is an innovative interior design project that revolutionizes the traditional concept of fitness facilities by seamlessly integrating sports center functionality with nightclub aesthetics. Located in Istanbul and spanning 2000 square meters across three stories, this groundbreaking facility represents a paradigm shift in recreational space design, earning recognition with a Golden A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category. The design, conceived by Kenan Özcan, masterfully balances industrial elements such as exposed air ducts and metal railings with vibrant, contemporary features including artistic installations, dynamic lighting systems, and disco balls. The facility encompasses multiple specialized areas including lounges, spa facilities, Pilates studios, and spinning rooms, all unified by a distinctive design language that promotes both physical activity and social engagement. A notable feature is the six-meter projection screen at the mezzanine level, enhancing the immersive exercise experience. The material palette demonstrates sophisticated versatility, incorporating CNC-processed metal panels, fabric partitions, decorative wall treatments, aged-effect mirrors, and premium marble finishes, with red serving as the primary accent color to symbolize energy and vitality. This revolutionary approach to sports facility design emerged from extensive international research across Europe and the United States, ultimately creating an unprecedented synthesis of fitness and entertainment spaces that challenges conventional design paradigms while maintaining functional excellence.
