Monochromatic Space Residential House

Monochromatic Space Residential House

Monochromatic Space Residential House is an award-winning residential interior design project that exemplifies contemporary minimalist aesthetics through its sophisticated use of monochromatic color schemes and geometric forms. This innovative living space transformation, completed in December 2014 in Singapore, demonstrates exceptional spatial planning and functionality while maintaining aesthetic refinement. The design philosophy centers on simplicity and warmth, utilizing various shades of grey and rectangular forms positioned at different angles throughout the living area to create visual interest and depth. The project features a meticulously designed full-height cabinet system with precise angular calculations, complemented by a comprehensive TV console and integrated settee measuring approximately 6.5 meters in width. The interior incorporates dual lighting options - cove lights and down lights - providing flexible ambiance control, while a concealed projector screen and recessed ceiling speakers enhance the entertainment capabilities. Notable design elements include decorative laminates with varying textures that add dimensional complexity to the space, and an elliptical oval cove lighting system that effectively balances the rectangular elements throughout the interior. This Silver A' Design Award-winning project in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design category showcases innovative solutions for aging-in-place considerations while seamlessly integrating existing furniture pieces into a contemporary design scheme, demonstrating excellence in both functional planning and aesthetic execution.
