Momenten Packaging Design

Momenten Packaging Design

Momenten Packaging Design is an innovative packaging solution for a sugar-free sparkling wine brand that exemplifies contemporary design principles while targeting young consumers through playful visual elements and strategic brand positioning. The design, created by a Chinese design studio, features a distinctive approach to visual communication through the creative use of bubble monsters - unique characters whose shapes correspond to different taste profiles, with rounder forms representing softer tastes and sharper shapes indicating more pungent varieties. This thoughtful design system, developed in 2021, demonstrates a sophisticated understanding of brand storytelling and consumer psychology, particularly in the emerging low-alcohol beverage category. The packaging's dimensions of 180mm depth and 140mm height provide an optimal canvas for the brand expression, while the design successfully incorporates elements of whimsy and sophistication through its emoji-inspired monster characters. The visual identity represents a significant innovation in beverage packaging design, particularly in its ability to communicate product attributes through abstract yet meaningful design elements. The project, which later expanded to include a diffusion line called KAI, exemplifies excellence in packaging design through its strategic combination of functional communication and aesthetic appeal, earning recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category for its creative approach to visual storytelling and consumer engagement.
