Modern Chinese Garden Real Estate Agency
Modern Chinese Garden Real Estate Agency is an innovative interior design project that masterfully reimagines traditional Chinese garden aesthetics within a contemporary real estate sales environment. Located in a bustling urban setting, this 10,000-square-foot space demonstrates an exceptional synthesis of classical Chinese garden elements transformed through modern design sensibilities and materials. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, creates a serene sanctuary that effectively shields visitors from external urban chaos while guiding them through a thoughtfully choreographed spatial journey. The design incorporates sophisticated interpretations of traditional garden elements, including bridges, water features, pavilions, and architectural transitions, all realized through premium materials such as walnut wood, coffee travertine, marble gray latte, Batty gray marble, and carbon-colored stainless steel. The space is orchestrated following the classical Chinese garden principle of pace-moving and view-shifting, where each turn reveals new perspectives and experiences. Five semi-open pavilions, designed as VIP areas, are strategically positioned to ensure privacy while maintaining visual harmony. The integration of modern materials and traditional concepts creates an atmosphere that is simultaneously contemporary and culturally resonant, featuring elements such as a copper lotus pond, suspended walls with waterfall features, and carefully placed architectural elements that create a sophisticated circulation pattern. This project, designed by Kris Lin and Jiayu Yang, exemplifies how traditional architectural concepts can be reinterpreted to serve modern commercial purposes while maintaining cultural authenticity and spatial elegance.
