Mob Clock is an innovative timepiece that revolutionizes the traditional concept of time display through its unique integration of mathematical principles and minimalist design aesthetics. This sophisticated table clock, designed by Nazanin Saranjampour, Parisa Gheisari, Shahrzad Salehi, and Kamran Rahmani, features a distinctive Möbius strip as its main body, complemented by a spherical pointer that traverses the strip's single boundary to indicate time. The design fundamentally challenges conventional time representation by eliminating the traditional AM/PM division, instead offering a continuous 24-hour journey along the Möbius strip's singular surface. Crafted from injection-molded PC+ABS for the main body and premium metallic alloys for its support structure, the clock measures 300mm in width and depth, with a height of 400mm. The innovative mechanism employs an electro-motor within the black spherical pointer, converting rotary motion into linear movement along the Möbius strip. This Silver A' Design Award-winning creation in the Furniture Design category represents a harmonious blend of mathematical precision and philosophical contemplation, offering users a more natural and less anxiety-inducing relationship with time. The clock's deliberate choice to display time in 15-minute intervals, rather than seconds, reflects a conscious decision to reduce time-related stress while maintaining functional accuracy.
