Metal Taps For Beer Kegs

Metal Taps For Beer Kegs

Metal taps for beer kegs are devices used to dispense beer from a keg. They are typically made of stainless steel or brass and consist of a spout, handle, and lever. The spout is inserted into the keg's opening, and the handle is turned to release the beer. The lever controls the flow of beer, allowing the user to pour the desired amount into a glass or other container. There are several types of metal taps for beer kegs, including the standard American Sankey tap, the European Sankey tap, and the A-system tap. The American Sankey tap is the most common type used in the United States and is compatible with most domestic beers. The European Sankey tap is used primarily for imported beers and has a slightly different design than the American Sankey tap. The A-system tap is used for German and Belgian beers and has a unique locking mechanism that prevents accidental disconnection. Metal taps for beer kegs are an essential component of any bar or restaurant that serves draft beer. They are easy to use and require minimal maintenance. However, it is important to clean and sanitize the tap regularly to prevent contamination and ensure the quality of the beer. In conclusion, metal taps for beer kegs are crucial for dispensing draft beer in a commercial setting. They come in a variety of types and are made of durable materials that can withstand frequent use. Proper maintenance and cleaning are necessary to ensure the quality of the beer and prevent contamination.
